A man posing as a doctor remains in the Cameron County jail at this
hour. A grand jury indicted Arthur Hayes for sexual assault, acting
as a doctor without a license and Medicaid fraud. He’s accused of
doing pelvic and breast exams on three victims. It happened about
four years ago at a San Benito family clinic. Prosecutors say he
didn’t have a license to do this. His attorney claims he did.
They’re trying to get his 200k bond lowered. So far a judge hasn’t
agreed to reduce it. Police are still looking for another business
partner who’s on the run.
